Chris Endo

Although Chris Endo plays many genres (from tech-house to minimal, and from lounge to techno) his sound has an unmistakable groove that inspires both seasoned clubbers and first-time house music listeners alike.

While living in Ibiza, Spain during the summers of 2004-2005 Chris played percussion alongside elite DJs in some of the world’s greatest clubs, inspiring him to learn to DJ soon after. He crafted his skills in Manchester, UK, and returned to Ibiza in 2008 where he performed in clubs such as Eden and Zoo Project, to name a few. More recently Chris has DJ’d in clubs such as Mercury Lounge (Ottawa), Mile End Bar (Montreal), Sotto (Ottawa), BPM (Gatineau).

Having grown up as rock drummer, he bridged over to electronic music when inspired by the Chemical Brothers, Crystal Method, and Fatboy Slim. Chris prefers mixing on Pioneer CDJs but can mix on anything from vinyl to midi controllers.

Jay Mac

Instructor
Mentor
Tutor

From a music enthusiast and active dancer, to a local DJ and respected international producer - Jay Mac is everything you would want in a DJ instructor.

First inspired by live alternative bands in his youth, then to the creative and fun-loving nature of rave culture, later motivated by the golden era of hip hop in the 90s, and finally finding a home within the jackin house community in the 2000s, Jay's wide range of influences have come together to inspire his unique sound.  Under different aliases such as Overflow, Provibe, Heronimo, and Jay Mac, he has transitioned from underground hip hop to house music, enjoying the reward of making people dance.

As one of the founding members of Phono Jones his productions were supported by DJs such as Mark Farina, DJ Heather, and Hector Moralez, and quickly became a household name by performing at the Winter Music Conference in Miami. Still an active producer, Jay also loves to surprise the patrons of the Mercury Lounge with impromptu DJ sets. He is a natural selector and his sets are formed on the fly and range from deep and funky to techy and bad ass.  Regardless of what he's playing,  it's guaranteed that the night will be lively, creative, and fun.
